I know I did a post on the iphone 5 not long ago but I have heard a lot of new rumors since then, so this post will go through the rumors rather than what I personally want to see. Also just before I start, they are saying it will be called the iPhone 4s instead of the iPhone 5 as it will have 4g this time.

Design (How it looks and feels):

I hear there is going to be a 4 inch screen; which will most defiantly keep up with the growing market of high-end phones, such as the new HTC Sensation… Man that is one beautiful phone!! Anyway having the bigger screen will be excellent for web browsing, playing games, watching movies and whatever else you enjoy doing on your iPhone. The only thing I see bad about the bigger screen is that the developers will want to make there apps compatible with the larger display, unless iv’e course it has the resolution of 960 x 640 (the same resolution as the iPhone 4).

Dual core A5 processor, now this is nice. Although it would be nicer to have quad core, I think this is still a little way up the line yet. I believe it is clocked in at 1ghz again but it might be a step up to 1.5ghz, wouldn’t that be wonderful. Having dual core will also allow the iPhone to keep up with the all so popular brands such as Nvidia, Qualcomm and Samsung.

Thinner yet again!!! How does apple do this? They somehow shove a whole lot of new technology into a phone and make it thiner than the previous version. I guess one day we will have interactive pieces of paper or something like that. So in this case the screen increases in size and the thickness decreases, how?

Camera (The flashy thing on the back):

8 megapixle seems to be the path it’s heading, it may not be the best on the market but as long as it’s got quality I’m happy. Now think about it, the iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixle camera capable of recording 720p video, and also the front facing camera (vga quality, not to good). Apple is now taking it to the next extreme that a device this thin can handle, 1080p video and a 1 megapixle front facing camera. Sonner or later these front facing cameras will be shooting 1080p, a bit like the blackberry playbook.

Also they are talking about moving the flash onto the oposite side of the camera, in hope of getting rid of the yellow eye problem.

iOS 5 (The thing that lets you do stuff):

We have now been waiting for a long time for iOS to pull itself together into the ultimate OS (operating system), palm has the multitasking, android has the freedom and apple has the interface. Apple has started to come into the multitasking game now but it’s more app switching than multitasking. So whats next? True multitasking for starters, something where you can interact with the app when it is minimized, theres not much point in that but still it’s cool. Also native multitasking support for all apps, not just some.

Notifications is the thing that needs to be improved most in my eyes… Apples popups just get in the way!!! Your halfway through a game and this annoying blue box just popups and requires your attention at that very second. What I’m looking for is something completely different from apple not a notification in the statusbar like android and palm instead something out of the blue, I might be asking a bit much but that is what I want to see.
